Remix Dance is a community-based dance school for youths of all ages specializing in recreational & competitive Hip Hop choreography. Our recreational and competitive classes run during the fall and winter and in the summer we host workshops.
Recreational Kids & Teens
These classes are for those dancers who love Hip Hop and who love to dance just for fun. This program introduces dancers to the fundamental techniques and foundations of hip hop and develops the dancers musicality, coordination, confidence, performance skills and ability to pick up choreography.
Recreational classes are all 1 hour, once a week. Dancers learn Mix 1 from Sept to Dec, learn Mix 2 from Jan to April and learn a Finale number at the end of April. These dancers will then perform Mix 1, Mix 2 and the Finale number at their big Year End Show in May.
Competitive Kids & Teens
These classes are for those who love Hip Hop and want to dance at a competitive level. This program will train the students to become the best dancers they can be and at the same time will develop their confidence, focus, teamwork, techniques and performance skills. These competitive classes are both fun and challenging and involve commitment from both the dancers and the parents.
All students must audition and be selected to be part of a team. Auditions are held at the end of August, so please check the Audition Schedule for all the info.
Students will learn 1 Mix from Sept to March. They will compete in 3 dance competitions in the months of March, April and May. They will perform at all the Remix Shows (3). You can find all this info and more under Dancer Info and Competitive Dancer Info.

Bonnie West is the founder and owner of Remix Dance Academy. Bonnie is a highly motivated professional with an extensive artistic range in Hip Hop dance instruction, choreography, staging, and management. Combining her vast experience and a real passion for dance, Bonnie provides a unique and highly enjoyable learning experience to her students.
